Little Woodrow’s Opening Location in Cedar Park, TX

Original Article: Austin Business Journal - June 28, 2023

Congrats to Sahar Chmais of the Austin Business Journal, whose journalistic digging allowed for some interesting nuggets to be mined out of a June 16 Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing which indicates Little Woodrow’s, the popular Houston-based chain of neighborhood sports bars, could be headed to a new location in Cedar Park.

If Little Woodrow’s does assume the space at 401 E. Whitestone Blvd, they would be joining one of the busiest streets in town and becoming neighbors with the Whitestone Brewery as well as an H-E-B and beloved restaurants like Lucy’s Fried Chicken and Blue Corn Harvest.

Of course, much of this is extrapolation and speculative in nature, since Bob Wilson (president of Little Woodrow’s) declined to comment when Chmais reached out. That said, the details plucked from the filing itself suggests that the new Little Woodrow’s location might not be so “little.”

Spanning approximately 11,000 square feet, the renovation would include transforming the current nightclub space with a full remodel, including an interior bar, a brand-new commercial kitchen, a fresh entryway, and an outdoor bar.

Little Woodrow’s can be found in a variety of locales, from the hustle and bustle of Sixth Street in Austin to suburban spots such as the Millwood area of Northwest Austin and Bee Cave. In addition to alcohol, Little Woodrow’s often has bar food such as wings, nachos and burgers — or hosts food trucks.

It would be the seventh Little Woodrow’s in the Austin area, joining ones like this on West Sixth Street.
