January 03, 2019

Crux Capital formally launched this month with a core mission to invest in and grow small, profitable businesses. The Founder of Crux Capital, Wayne Moore, brings with him 18-years of experience profitably investing in both private and public companies. During his career, Mr. Moore excelled at several large financial institutions and co-founded two successful hedge funds. Now at Crux Capital, he has turned his entrepreneurial energy towards buying exceptional small businesses.

Crux Capital is focused on acquiring a select number of high-quality businesses and partnering with management teams to build value over the long term. The firm’s co-investment partners are comprised of successful business people, family offices and the Founder of Crux Capital. Importantly, as a privately funded enterprise, the firms is not constrained by traditional private equity limitations pertaining to deal structures or artificial holding periods. Instead, Crux Capital implements strategies to build and unlock value over time in partnership with company management.

“We are the ideal partner for owners seeking liquidity, generational transition, capital for growth or recapitalization. Crux Capital is committed to preserving the legacy of the companies we invest in, recognizing that people and culture are the key determinants of long-term success.,” said Wayne Moore. “We are not looking to ‘buy and flip” companies.”

In addition to providing capital, Crux Capital leverages the expertise of the firm and co-investment partners to support management teams in reaching their growth objectives. While Crux Capital principals will not participate in the day-to-day management of companies they invest in, they will serve as active advisers. The firm will also provide additional resources, including but not limited to: prospective company introductions, access to industry executives, competitive intelligence and identification and evaluation of potential add-on acquisitions.
