Since its launch in 2013, Buff City Soap has grown to over 200 locations and is expanding at a rapid pace. Even better? The company, originally founded in Memphis, Tennessee, now calls North Texas home with its new headquarters based right here in town. The relocation to Big D is dual-fold win for the company, as it not only centralizes operations geographically but also allows for continued market expansion.

Buff City Soap’s success is often credited to its customizable, all-natural products and the immersive “retail theater” experience that draws in customers. This unique approach has fueled the company’s rapid growth, now boasting over 215 locations and franchises in 30 states.

“Buff is at this really unique intersection of good for you, experiential and making a difference in the world,” says Buff City Soap CEO Craig Kessler. “For that reason, I think it’s a very unique time for this business to be growing.”

According to Kessler, moving Buff City Soap’s headquarters to Dallas was a natural fit. Over the past three years, the Dallas region has added more jobs than any other major U.S. metro, and since 2010, nearly 200 companies have relocated their headquarters to North Texas—21 of them just in the past year.

“There’s really no better place to build our foundation and our home base than Dallas, Texas,” Kessler says. “Stable business climate, great on taxes, really talented work force — there is just an energy in Dallas and a receptivity to companies spreading their wings that makes this place feel like home.”
